Very Impressive Little Grill!

I usually do my grilling on my large Weber gas grill, so this was a bit of a change for me. The Cuisinart is much smaller, but to my surprise, I was able to make chicken fajitas for the whole family just like I do on my larger grill (albeit with some shuffling to make things fit). I don't like working with charcoal, but this gadget makes cleanup as easy as possible. I thought it would make a nice portable grill for those school events and beach days, but it takes too long to cool off to be truly portable. It is more designed for someone with a small apartment and no room for a full sized grill. If this is you, order this grill!

I find this portable grill is great to use at home too. We have a regular gas grill we use for chicken and burgers, but this Cuisinart is perfect for when we want to make pulled pork and do other smoking where we cant use a regular grill, and takes up very little room. It requires only a small amount of charcoal, and we add hickory chips when we want to make pulled pork, etc. We smoke it in the grill for an hour and finish it off in a crock pot and it comes out perfect every time. The small size is great. We use it right on top of our backyard table.

My only complaints would be is the dome lid is a little small to handle bigger cuts of meat.

I was a bit surprised at the price of this portable grill (I've never paid more then $30-$50 for one?) but I can see why this sells for so much. Personally, I still think it's a bit overpriced but it definitely offers a lot of nice features for someone who loves to grill on the go. The grate lifting feature makes it easy to adjust or add more charcoal with ease and unlike some other portable grills, you get a good amount of space to cook on. I also love that there is an ultra-portable companion stand (purchased separately) that goes with this grill. Very cool.
